Farmer’s Vanished: Homicide Probe LaunchedThe case surrounding missing Kerry farmer Michael Gaine has now been upgraded to a homicide investigation, according to Gardaí. Mr Gaine was last seen in Kenmare on the morning of March 20th, when he bought phone credit at a Centra store. He was reported missing the next day, March 21st. His bronze Toyota RAV4 was later found at his farm, containing several personal belongings.

A major search effort has been ongoing for over five weeks. Gardaí have confirmed that a formal criminal inquiry is in progress, led by a Senior Investigating Officer from Killarney Garda Station. As part of the investigation, authorities have collected around 2,200 hours of CCTV and dashcam footage and recorded nearly 130 witness statements. # AD

Despite these efforts, Mr Gaine’s remains have yet to be located. Gardaí believe there are individuals who hold key information about what occurred on March 20th. They are urging anyone with knowledge to come forward and help reunite Mr Gaine with his loved ones.
