Gardaí are investigating after a human skull was discovered wrapped in a plastic shopping bag near a remote home in Faunkill, West Cork. The remains were found beside an old motorhome during garden clearance work by a woman who recently moved into the house, which had been owned by a Dutch family since the 1990s. The skull, believed to date from that era, was located in a wooded area adjacent to a quarry. It’s unclear whether the remains are male or female, adult or child.

The site has been sealed off as a potential crime scene, and DNA testing is underway. Several individuals are known to have stayed in the motorhome over the past 20 years, including a clairvoyant and others described as reclusive. The discovery has left the local community shocked, with no known recent missing persons in the area. A local councillor called it “shocking and disturbing.”
Authorities have confirmed the scene is under technical examination, and investigations are ongoing.IMAGE SOURCE RTE NEWS
