Tipperary Man Rescues Cork Man in Dramatic Bridge Incident
Pauric Stapleton, a Tipperary native and employee at Johnson & Johnson in Ringaskiddy, was among the first on the scene to help save a man attempting to take his own life on a flyover above the N25 near Maryborough Ridge.
Pauric and two other men from passing traffic acted swiftly when they spotted the individual dangling over the edge of the bridge. Working together, they used ratchet straps as a safety precaution to prevent the man from falling, eventually pulling him back to safety. They stayed with him, offering support and conversation until Gardaí arrived.
