Love and Care for People a Cork-based charity (CHY:20204558) with an office at 58 Main Street, Mallow, Co. Cork hosted its second edition of Enhance Media Literacy Training Course. The training Course was held at Kilcully Campsite, Whites Cross, Cork, T23 NH63 from 7th to 15th September 2022. It involved 23 youth workers from 5 countries: Croatia,  Morocco, Turkey, and Georgia (5 per country), and 3 for Ireland.  The program was funded by European Union under Erasmus+ Programme 2021-2027 through Léargas (National Agency).

The objectives of the Programme were to empower youth workers and youth activists to become conscious media and news consumers, to apply their critical thinking skills, and contribute to more inclusive and tolerant societies through non-formal education methods. Together, the group decided to explore the problem of prejudice and discrimination through the lens of Media influence on youth perceptions and understand a Youth-led/youth-centered & Non-formal teaching/learning approach.

Eugene from Cork Matters, the media expert also gave an inspirational speech to all 23 participants to give them an Irish media perceptive and tools on how to spot fake news.
