A rural community in Cork is reeling after a 5-year-old boy was seriously injured in a farm accident in Minane Bridge on Sunday. The child was initially treated at Cork University Hospital but has since been transferred to Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street in Dublin for specialist care.

Local councillor Jack White expressed the heartbreak felt throughout the area, describing the incident as devastating for everyone involved. “We’re all shocked and devastated to hear of the young boy who is seriously injured. We’re a tight-knit community, and I know the family personally. Everyone is keeping them in their thoughts and prayers,” he told RedFM News.
