Local Authorities must be equipped to tackle anti-social behaviour
It is the abject failure of previous housing policies that has created so many of the urban ghettos in existence in Ireland today according to Fine Gael Seanad Community spokesperson, Senator Jerry Buttimer. Senator Buttimer has today (Friday) broadly welcomed the provisions of the Housing (Misc) Provisions Bill 2008 which will address how Local Authorities deal with anti-social behaviour.

Public MRI scanner needed for Cork - Buttimer
Patients in Cork are being forced to obtain MRI scans at private clinics due to the fact that there is no public MRI scanner in place in Cork, according to Fine Gael Cork South Central Senator, Jerry Buttimer, who slammed the situation as a disgrace.
